Greetings from Rockport

NAHSL ’09 is off and running. It’s a BEAUTIFUL day in Maine and the setting chosen by this year’s Conference Planning Committee is spectacular (Samoset Resort, Rockport). As one who lived many years in Maine, it’s great to be back on the coast.

A full day of CE courses took place today followed by the inaugural NAHSL Conference Forum where attendees were given the chance to discuss thoughts, opinions, concerns, etc. regarding several issues coming before the business meeting on Tuesday. Next up is the Welcome Reception at the Owls Head Transportation Museum. The word from CPC members is that it’s going to be lovely. I’ve my camera in hand and will share images here.

Thanks in advance to Ed Donnald and Margo Coletti for volunteering to be conference bloggers along with me this year. Check back over the next few days as we give our reflections and reports on all of the doings of NAHSL ’09.

– Sally Gore, Chair, Electronic Communications Committee
