The Sun Rises on the Last Day of NAHSL 2009

Good Morning!

If left to my own devices, I’m happy to let the sun start the day all by itself and get my money’s worth from my pillow.  So a big thank you to my wife who made sure I stepped out of my comfort zone.  We made a predawn trek up to the Camden State Park tower overlooking the town and bay.  The sunrise was inspiring and seemed to seal the deal on a wonderful conference.

For those of you not in attendence, what you need to know from the Business Meeting is that:

  1. Kathy Stemmer-Frumento was elected Conference Chair 2011 and Chapter Chair-Elect 2010
  2. With a vote of 37-yes to 36-no, the proposal to change the name of the organization was defeated (there needed to be a 2/3 majority of members in attendance for it to pass)
  3. NAHSL 2010 will be held October 24th-26th in Newport, RI. with a theme “Libraries in Balance: Preserving our Roots, Growing our Future.
