Here is the news from the NAHSL Board! We had a productive meeting in Shrewsbury on Jun 18. You can be proud of your board members!

Bear in mind that the official minutes of the board meeting will be available on after they are approved in September.
Here are the highlights!

The board approved bylaws changes pertaining to the role changes of the Conference Chair (appointed position) and the Chair-Elect (elected position). The bylaws change is then approved by MLA, and then brought to the membership for a vote at the Annual Meeting in October.
A proposal and application for the technology grant was discussed, and the steering committee will be meeting to hammer out some details (big and small) about this initiative.
We have signed a Memo of Understanding with Hartford Hospital to have 3 new logos designed which we will then choose from. The designer is the same person who designed our classy 50th anniversary logo. The Marketing committee along with the state representatives are working on this project. We also discussed some innovative things we might do with the logo – pens, pencils, coffee sleeves.
Conference news. Rhode Island is shaping up to be a great conference! Watch for the registration form very soon! Visit their site:

So, time flies and there is much to do! If you ever have comments, concerns or questions about the Board’s activities – please contact me, or another board member. We are working for YOU!
Enjoy your Summer! Dina McKelvy, NAHSL Chair
