Conference “Binder” Update

Hi everyone – one of the projects we are working on this year is the Conference “Binder” Update. Some of you might be familiar with the NAHSL Conference Binder – a guide to running the NAHSL conference – that was circulated from state to state in the ’90’s and early ’00’s.

Resourceful folk that we are, the guide is housed in a recycled Searching DIALOG binder – it is quite hefty!

I have recruited a team of smart and experienced individuals to review the contents of the binder and draft guidelines for our conference planners. Certain questions come up each year, and rather than recreate that wheel in every state, we hope that  this guide will save time and effort for our NAHSL members hard at work on the conference.

This guide will no longer be housed in the Searching DIALOG binder, but will be available by signing in to the NAHSL website  to anyone who needs access to it.  It will also be easy to update as the years go by.

The first draft of the revision will be completed in June, with further revisions expected by conference time this Fall. As we are in Mohegan enjoying the hard work of our Connecticut colleagues, our friends in NH/VT can enjoy the benefit of this conference planning guide!

If you would like to learn more or get involved, feel free to contact me, or anyone on the NAHSL board!  Thanks!
