CAHSL Salary Survey

July 18, 2013 at 9:04 am | Posted in General News | Leave a comment

This past spring the Connecticut Association of Health Sciences Librarians completed a salary survey with its members. The survey aimed to capture an overview of the salaries of the librarians who work in the health sciences field in Connecticut. The survey also included a few questions regarding AHIP, benefits and pay increases.

The survey was an open business item for the past year. The proposed questions and format were presented, reviewed and discussed at the March 5th CAHSL meeting. Members’ feedback was then incorporated into the final survey.

Overall there were 36 responses for salaries. The results were cross-referenced by library type, area of responsibility, years as a librarian and years in current position to get a better understanding of the salaries.

The results are posted on the CAHSL LibGuide.

The report includes additional salary resources from the CT Department of Labor, US Department of Labor, CT Library Association and Medical Library Association.

We hope you find it interesting!
