National Library Legislative Day (NNLD) will take place on May 2-3 in Washington, D.C. The purpose of NNLD is to advocate for library-related issues and to encourage Congress to support libraries across the country. The first day is devoted to briefings and a special reception on Capitol Hill. The second day is set aside for meeting with members of Congress and their staff. You can learn more about NNLD by going to the ALA NNLD homepage. Even if you can’t go to Washington, D.C., you can still support NNLD. Just email your representatives and urge them to support the goals of NNLD.
