AAMC Reaches Out to President-Elect Trump

The election of Donal Trump as president of the United States has prompted a lot of concern among scientists who point to comments made during the campaign as evidence of an impending decline in federal support. In an effort to reach out to the president-elect, the AAMMC has released a briefing book designed to outline the challenges that academic medicine faces “as they seek to fulfill their educational, scientific, and clinical care missions.” The book also details the critical role that the federal government plays in supporting medical education and the health of the nation.
