On January 30th, the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) released a statement regarding President Trump’s executive order on immigration. In it, the organization explained that they were, “deeply concerned that the Jan. 27 executive order will disrupt education and research and have a damaging long-term impact on patients and health care.” The statement then went on to outline the AAMC’s commitment to diversity and the role that physicians from other countries play in meeting the needs of patients in underserved populations in the United States.
