Update on the Register of Copyright Debate

The House has passed the “Register of Copyrights Selection and Accountability Act” which strips the power of the Librarian of Congress to select the Register of Copyrights and transfers it to the President. The Copyright Alliance continues to oppose this bill and is encouraging people to contact their representatives about it. You can find a link to the bill, a statement by ALA President-Elect James Neal, and more information in this press release.
